I recently discovered audio books. They are fantastic. So so perfect for bus rides and work. And amazingly, the public library has downloadable versions for free! I am listening to a girlie little book by Sophie Kinsella right now, and it is fun. Silly and flighty.

Right now, Laredo, but we’re going to Georgia in three weeks! To Laredo.

lesson: if you help me i will make you things!

Last week my sister used her mad Photoshop skills to help me make Chris's Valentine card. Out of gratitude, I made her a fun little banner. I got the banner idea from this blog post, and I made a cute little Valentine one for my wall, also. She sent me this picture today with it hanging on her wall!

the last two weeks in summary

• Bought some jeans.
• Celebrated v-day.

• Took a few pictures with my cameraphone.
• Lost a collar.

• High-fived the collar-finder.
• Took three cats to the vet to get shots on low-cost day.
• Got scratched.
• Watched Say Anything, found out not all 80s movies are terrible.

Now we are all caught up.

I love the Super Bowl. It is the only football game I ever watch start to finish, and I get really excited about it. This year I threw a party and confirmed to myself that I love having parties! Occasionally. They can be expensive and they are time consuming, so I like to keep it to a minimum. But every now and then they are fun!

The weather was lovely, which I appreciated when the smoke started pouring out of the oven and I was able to open the doors and windows. For the record, I did not burn anything. But there is apparently some food on the bottom of the oven and it makes lots of smoke.

There was a great mix of people and some delicious food. And even though my team lost, I had lots of fun yelling for them to win. (DISCLAIMER: I didn't even know who was in the game until Friday night. I cheered for whoever Chris was cheering for. But I cheered loud!)

We definitely rocked the 3-d glasses.

And then to top it all off, it was followed by the one of the funniest episodes of The Office ever. And from now until the end of time I will remember how fast to pump someone's heart when giving CPR.
