Chris and I just got back from an excellent weekend in Florida, visiting my grandparents. They live about 15 minutes away from the beach, so naturally we headed over there as soon as we got up Saturday morning.
New life goal: make enough money to retire early and live on the southeastern US coast. And go to the beach. All the time.
(I borrowed Chris's shades so I wouldn't be squinting weirdly for the camera.) Unfortunately, my prescription glasses were stolen from me by the waves, but I rest better knowing that somewhere down there, a very blind shark is suddenly very happy. I spent the second half of the weekend not being able to see a whole lot, but hey, it's all part of the adventure!
I accidentally left my camera at home, so I went old school and bought a disposable one. I can't wait to get those pictures back! I did take a few on my camera phone to satisfy my need for instant pictorial gratification.
It was a fab weekend, despite the loss of my glasses. As I wrote on facebook, I'd rather be blind at the beach than with 20/20 vision in Irving any day!
