My relationship with yarn crafts has been a bit rocky. A few years ago, I decided I wanted to learn to crochet. I asked for books and supplies for Christmas, and my wonderful family obliged. I spent Christmas morning with frustrated tears on my face, trying to crochet a little flower. That was the end of that, for a while. Every now and then, I pick up the hook and yarn again and give it another go. It usually all ends shortly, with a tangled looking mess and an aggravated me.
BUT. The other night I was looking for something to do with my hands while watching my Thursday night comedy marathon (why are all the best shows on one night??), and I thought, well hey, it can't hurt.
LOOK AT THIS. What you see here is two completed squares (ish). On the left is double crochet, on the right is single crochet. They are neat and you can tell the stitches apart, and guys I did it! It's on.
