This quilt is long overdue to be shared on the blog! It's a favorite for sure. I made it back in March or so because I wanted something to practice machine quilting on. As you can see, it's quite simple, just 6" patchwork blocks and diagonal quilting.
I bound it in a favorite Joel Dewberry print. As I was sewing the binding down I discovered I was short about 6 inches of binding—nooooo! I decided to fill the gap with a little piece of the backing fabric, and that ended up being my favorite detail of the whole quilt. It's funny how sometimes mistakes end up being just the right thing.
A simple wholecloth backing. I love this fabric. I love this quilt!
