I made this sweet quilt for someone who needed a baby shower gift. I didn't have any "boy quilts" ready to go in my shop, so we did a custom one. She requested blues and greens and a monogram. The rest was up to me. Fun!
Since I was a bit pressed for time—she contacted me a week before I went out of town for the holidays—I chose to do a giant log cabin, which I knew would go together quickly. I threw in lots of fun prints like the Ed Emberley birds, some elephants, and cute little hedgehogs.
For some reason, I seem to bind a lot of my quilts in blue, so I used binding scraps from my last 4-5 quilts to make a fun scrappy binding.
It's small, about 26x30, which is perfect for strollers and car seats! I'm glad I was able to get it done and out the door before we left for Georgia, and I'm really glad she contacted me after not seeing what she wanted in my shop. It's so fun to put together something custom!
