new look!

I finally got around to giving the blog a makeover—something that's been on my should-do list for over a year. About time, eh?

I said adios to my flamingo friend, and brought in some bright, happy colors. And stripes! I love stripes. I also added a list of categories to the sidebar. If I could go back and tell my early-blogging-self one thing, it would be "categorize all of your posts!" I am slowly working my way back through posts and adding categories, so eventually everything will be in its right place.

I'm really happy with the new look, hope you like it too!

My friends are getting married and she asked me to build them a wedding website! I was happy to oblige. I really liked making the website for my wedding back in the day, and it was fun to put together another one. Their wedding is going to be at the a zoo and she's going for a jungle-esque feel, so I got to use bright colors and zebra print, and I'm always excited about a chance for zebra print!

(Did you know that every zebra has a unique stripe pattern, like a fingerprint? And also that zebras are actually black with white stripes, not the other way around? Fun facts!)

I wanted to show you this simple landing page I recently built for Amy Lapi. She sent me her illustrations and I worked a little bit of internet magic to put it together! My favorite part is the hand-drawn facebook/twitter/flickr icons. Go check it out!

Recently my friend Lauren Veronie asked me to help her out with her new website. She's in the US Army Field Band, which spends a third of the year touring around the country. Lauren uses her blog to document all her travels, as well as her past and upcoming performances!
